ABOUT ME...

I am an award-winning filmmaker, poet and professional writer, based in Folkestone, Kent.

My latest book of poems, The Hospital, was published by Cultured Llama.

I also show my hand-crafted movies at film festivals, screening nights and at galleries, universities and cinemas around the UK and Europe.

In total my films have been 'Official Selections' at over 35 international film festivals, featured at 50+ film nights, and have been broadcast on Sky and BBC television.

Published since I was a teenager, my poems have appeared in several small-press magazines and chapbooks, as well as three full collections of my work. I have been nominated for the Canterbury Poet of the Year, and the Erbacce Prize. For my full CV, see the Screening & Writing History page

I also work as an advertising, food and travel writer, specialising in cruise holidays and the luxury industries.

In 2008 I founded Roundeye, a small company which produces and distributes my films.

In 2017, I attended and premiered my film Stella Erratica at the Cannes Film Festival. This was followed by a broadcast on Sky TV and streaming on Amazon Prime.

In 2018, I created an immersive ‘planetarium’ version of Stella Erratica for the Cheriton Light Festival.

In 2023, pre-production started on my new super-8 film. Called Demigods, it will feature actor Toby Vincer in the leading role. Demigods is a reimagining of a ‘lost’ film by Kenneth Anger, made two years before his underground classic Fireworks.
